Success Story: PRISEP's Involvement in the International Day of Women in Diplomacy
On June 24, 2024, PRISEP proudly participated in the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre. This significant event, dedicated to celebrating the vital contributions of women in diplomacy, was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation in collaboration with UN Women and other key partners.
The event fostered an intergenerational dialogue aimed at honoring women's achievements in diplomacy and international relations, while also advocating for greater representation and leadership opportunities. It was part of Tanzania's broader efforts to promote gender equity. The gathering brought together former, current, and aspiring Tanzanian women diplomats, along with distinguished members of the international diplomatic community and leaders in finance, innovation, and peace and security. Their presentations showcased best practices in gender-sensitive diplomacy and highlighted the crucial role of women in these fields.
PRISEP's participation underscored our dedication to empowering women in peace and security. It reaffirmed the importance of gender-inclusive policies and practices within the private security sector and provided invaluable networking opportunities to build collaborations focused on advancing gender equity. This event represented a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to promote human rights and gender equality.
